The Metropolitan Golf Club is committed to protecting your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), No. 4 of 2013, and the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), No. 2 of 2000.

Information we collect

We may collect your name, contact details, age, gender, previous club information and, where relevant, banking details, in order to provide our services, administer membership and bookings, run competitions and meet our legal obligations.

How we use it

Your information is used to deliver and improve our services, communicate with you, administer competitions and handicaps, and comply with applicable law. We do not sell or otherwise distribute your personal or financial information.

Sharing

We may share limited information with GolfRSA and approved handicap and service providers where necessary, and with parties we are legally required to disclose to.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. To exercise any of these rights, please contact the club office.

Security & retention

We protect your information with appropriate technical and organisational measures and retain it only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law.
