Playable, characterful, unforgettable
A Mark Muller design that reopened in 2010, walkable and welcoming, with a sting in the tail.

Reimagined by Mark Muller
When the original course made way for the Cape Town Stadium ahead of 2010, architect Mark Muller was given a blank canvas alongside the new Green Point Urban Park. The result is a modern layout that doubles as a biodiversity showcase.
Wide, forgiving fairways and large greens make the Met accessible to amateurs, while subtle contouring and the ever-present coastal wind give better players plenty to think about.
- 9 holes played to 14 separate greens and dual tees for a full 18
- Two par 5s at holes 3 and 12
- A par-3 finish over water to a green beneath the clubhouse

What you will remember
The water finish
A par 3 played across water to a green tucked beneath the clubhouse. Nerve and a smooth swing required.
Parkland in the city
Bent-grass greens and kikuyu fairways set against four species of local rough and the new urban park.
The Cape wind
When the south-easter blows, club selection becomes the whole game. The course never plays the same way twice.
